Cruzin South Winter Wheels 2011
The event was nothing less than outstanding! Winter Wheels brought out some gorgeous cars and bikes, too many owners too mention! We are gathering pictures from everyone and will have them posted by late next week!
With thousands walking through to see the show, many people got to visit an arena that they did not know was there! "What a perfect place to host the show. Southaven has been great to us and I know this show has been great to them," boasts Donna Wadford, Cruzin South President. "Mayor Greg Davis, Parks Director Kim Terrell have been nothing short of exceptional in helping us bring this growing show to Southaven. The ease of moving into the arena and out was what made this show so exceptional for all the car and bike show entrants. I have taken the libery of securing a date for next year, because the crowd agrees, we want to come back," states Donna Wadford.
The show brought out over 80 cars and bikes that were exceptional! So many spectators came in and wanted to go home and bring their rides back for this great show. Some have already begun signing up for next year to hold their spot!
The highlights of the day were many. The event was honored to have been visited by Hooker Hood, the Clay Millican drag car and Clay Millican himself. This made for a great showing for the people and everyone loves Clay and Hooker!
The famous Tailgator Monster Truck was situated inside most of the day and the kids loved it. We also were impressed when he had to leave early to get to their Monster Truck Show...we got to hear him crank up the motor...awesome!
A private party was held the night before for car show participants and it was outstanding! Many prizes and great food awaited the car show participants along with beer, wine and music. Door prizes galore were given out to the participants and made for a nice private party. Some of the prizes were: a set of tires, $500 gift certificate from Firestone along with lifetime alignments and oil changes. NAPA gave away over 10 battery booster packs, 18 wheeler toys for kids, hats, hand warmers, antenna hats, and much more gifts from other sponsors. Each participant was given a chrome Keychain with CruzinSouth.Com Winter Wheels 2011 as a souvenir of the event! This was a great time and a unique event!
Next year's event is scheduled for January 13 and 14th, we are looking to make it a two day show so that we can showcase all that 2012 will have to offer.
